Prior to working with Solwit, Banga Ltd was using an ERP system from a local developer. The problem was that the system used was a standard solution with limited customisation options. And although it initially met the client’s needs, the business was growing and needed a more flexible solution to adapt to their requirements. The new ERP system had to ensure accurate warehouse accounting, correct costing of product production and transparent management of the overall production process.

Solution
Implementation of Product Manufacturing and ERP modules Warehouse and Accounting with further customisation to the client’s business processes.
We are satisfied with Solwit and do not regret having chosen them as a partner. When choosing between foreign and local suppliers, we realised during the negotiations that Solwit were the only ones whose solution was flexible and at the same time affordable for us. Now that all the tasks of the main project have been completed, we want to further develop and adapt this ERP system to our company’s needs.
“It is particularly important for us that together with Solwit we can do everything we need to.”
Highlights of the project
- Production planning based on customer order flow.
- Multi-level production accounting: from raw materials and semi-finished products to the final product.
- Write-off of raw materials automatically on FIFO basis or manually by batch, internal codes.
- For each final product (private label and Banga brand), a label is provided with the recipes to be applied to the product. At the last stage of production, information is also given on the label with which the product is to be labelled.
- Tracing the production from the can to the fisherman who caught the fish in the can.
- Preparation of the necessary documents for submission to the PVD.
- Automated inventory and write-off of production losses – the ERP system apportions the shortfall or surplus in proportion to the goods produced in the period where the raw material is involved, adjusting the cost of the final product.
- When creating an order, the entire assortment allocated to the selected customer is immediately visible. This eliminates the possibility of error, as Banga also produces for several third-party customers. The customer is assigned a product with its own recipe, packaging, labels.
- Tailor-made prices. Each customer’s product can have its own price.
- It is possible to add photographs to the catalogue to help avoid mistakes, e.g. not to confuse tuna in tomato sauce with salmon in tomato sauce.
- Allocation of indirect costs of production and marketing to the full cost of goods.
- Linking invoices for transport and other ancillary costs to specific purchase or sales documents.
- Different types of printing (CMR, GMO, packing lists, barcodes, quality certification, declarations, etc.).
- Ability to specify the MIN/MAX of each order to avoid the risk of production stoppages due to lack of required raw materials.
- Reports in different analytical cross-sections (results broken down by customer, product group, product type, cost per box for each product type, etc.).
- The implementation of the solution has been carried out taking into account the customer’s use of factoring services.
