The Flower Express became a Solwit customer almost 20 years ago. For a long time Ziedu Ekspresis used only a part of Solwit’s product range, because in parallel a custom programme was being developed to manage the company’s business processes. With the change of management in 2012, the requirements for the software grew. The new management preferred a single solution. The aim was to optimise and automate the company’s business processes as much as possible. After researching ERP products and competitors, the client concluded that Solwit ERP was the only solution that would meet the requirements and, moreover, the budget.

Integration with Magento eCommerce platform
wholesale and retail webshops. Mobile scanner sales. Customer selects product in stock, picker scans selected products and prints QR code with order. At the checkout, the QR code is scanned and a receipt or waybill is printed. Integration with cash registers. Automation of warehouse processes with scanners.
Tare inventory with scanners
Container costs are an essential part of the flower business, and Flower Express has dozens of types of containers: containers, boxes, buckets and other packaging in which flowers are delivered to shops. The container records show exactly which containers are with customers and in what quantities, and which containers have already returned to the warehouse.
Inventory
Thanks to the scanner solution, inventory can be taken without interrupting warehouse operations. Cut flowers and houseplants are inventoried weekly, while other product groups are inventoried more frequently.
Write-off of balances
Twice a week, warehouse staff scan the goods to be decommissioned and the system automatically creates a decommissioning document. In the past, write-offs took much longer because the whole process was manual.
Sticker printing
The scanner automatically prints product labels as soon as a warehouse worker scans the product. The solution offers a variety of labels, including bar-coded labels with no price (for bulk buyers) or bar-coded labels with a price – for retailers. In the past, the list of information to be printed was created manually and was very time-consuming.
Credit history of the buyer
Once the buyer is identified, the system reflects the buyer’s credit history and, if necessary, prevents the transaction from being processed if the credit limit is exceeded.
Pricing
The solution helps automate the creation of price lists.
Generating route pages
Before the solution, each route had to be manually approved, but now the process is fully automated.
EDI/EDA imports
Suppliers confirm the order by sending a document in a specific format to the Ziedu Ekspresis e-mail address, resulting in a purchase document that is also booked in the system.
Integration with Power BI
The data from the ERP system is transferred to Power BI in a few seconds, where it can be analysed in different slices. Each department of Flower Express has its own reporting unit.
Integration with Internet Banking (Gateway)
This solution fully automates the import of incoming payments. Previously, each payment was managed manually – of course, this took a lot longer and there were a few careless mistakes.
Cloud storage
Initially, Flower Express stored data on its own servers, but later decided to store it in the cloud. As a result of the transition, the speed of the system has increased several times and the data is stored in a secure environment – the cloud solution offered by Solwit guarantees the highest standards of data storage security with 99.95% uptime.
