Challenge

Ziedu Ekspresis became a Solwit client nearly 20 years ago. For a long time, the company used only part of the Solwit product suite, while also relying on a custom-built system to manage business processes.

Following a management change in 2012, software requirements increased significantly. The new leadership prioritized a unified ERP solution aimed at maximizing automation and optimizing business processes.

After evaluating multiple ERP systems and competitors, the client concluded that the only solution meeting both functional requirements and budget constraints was Solwit ERP.

Solution

Data migration to the latest version of Solwit Warehouse Management and Accounting systems, as well as the transfer of all business processes from the custom-built solution into the Solwit environment. The next step was to adapt the solution to the client’s specific needs.

With the Solwit ERP solution, the company is able to use its resources more efficiently. It enables the company to respond quickly to changes in its market segment. This is crucial and allows the company to maintain a leading position in the Latvian market year after year. Communication with Solwit is simple and clear.

Magento eCommerce Integration

Integration with Magento-based wholesale and retail eCommerce platforms enabled seamless order processing.
Warehouse operations were automated using mobile scanners. Customers select products in the warehouse, while pickers scan items and generate QR-coded orders. At checkout, the QR code is scanned to print receipts or delivery notes. The system is also integrated with cash registers, significantly improving warehouse efficiency.

Packaging Tracking with Scanners

Packaging costs are a major part of the floral business. Ziedu Ekspresis manages dozens of packaging types, including containers, boxes, and buckets.

The system accurately tracks which packaging is with customers and what has been returned to the warehouse.

Inventory Management

Thanks to scanner-based solutions, inventory can be performed without interrupting warehouse operations.
Cut flowers and houseplants are inventoried weekly, while other product groups are checked more frequently.

Stock Write-Off Automation

Twice a week, warehouse staff scan items for write-off, and the system automatically generates write-off documents.
Previously, this process was fully manual and significantly more time-consuming.

Label Printing Automation

Labels are automatically printed when items are scanned in the warehouse.
Different label types are supported, including barcode labels without prices for wholesale customers and price-labeled versions for retail customers. Previously, label creation was fully manual and time-consuming.

Customer Credit History

Once a customer is identified, the system displays their credit history and automatically blocks transactions if credit limits are exceeded.

Pricing Automation

The solution automates the creation and management of price lists.

Route Planning Automation

Previously, delivery routes required manual approval. Today, the process is fully automated.

EDI / EDA Import

Suppliers confirm orders by sending structured documents via email. The system automatically converts these into purchase orders and posts them into accounting.

Power BI Integration

ERP data is transferred to Power BI within seconds, enabling advanced analytics across different business dimensions.
Each department has its own reporting dashboard.

Bank Integration (Gateway)

Incoming payments are fully automated.
Previously, each transaction had to be entered manually, which was time-consuming and prone to human error.

Cloud Data Storage

Initially, Ziedu Ekspresis stored data on local servers. Later, they migrated to cloud storage.
As a result, system performance increased significantly, and data is now stored in a secure environment with 99.95% uptime guaranteed by Solwit’s cloud infrastructure.
