Challenge

Industra Bank has been cooperating with Solwit for more than 15 years. Initially, they purchased a standard product “Payroll and  HR,” which they asked to slightly adapt to their specific needs. In 2019, Industra’s management decided to take a step further and improve internal communication, making it more streamlined and less formal. They reached out to us to help achieve this. In addition, they also aimed to eliminate unnecessary paperwork – for example, so that time-off requests would no longer need to be submitted in paper form. From our entire product portfolio, the “HR Portal” was the best solution for these needs. This tool helps simplify communication between employees, managers, and the HR department.

Solution

Implementation of the standard “HR and Self-Service Portal” solution, followed by customization to meet the client’s needs.
Previously, the standard “Payroll” solution was implemented and customized in the same way.

Key project benefits

The ability to combine multiple documents and send them for approval to a manager as a single document

This function significantly reduces the number of documents that need to be signed and shortens the manager’s approval waiting time. For example, instead of 30 separate documents, the manager only needs to sign one consolidated document.

Additional vacation day tracking

The system automatically assigns and accumulates additional vacation days for employees – for example, if an employee has not taken sick leave for six months, or based on length of service in the company.


An expanded list of training courses has been added, allowing the HR manager to assign an unlimited number of courses to employees.

Calculation of average annual earnings for board members

This function is necessary because, under labor law, the rules applicable to board members differ from those applied to other employees when calculating salaries and vacation days.


Vacation is calculated over a 12-month period.
The system also calculates board members’ average annual income, generates individual reports, and tracks different types of contracts (service agreements, royalties, and standard employment contracts).


Due to the bank’s high security standards, the HR Portal operates exclusively within the client’s internal network. Employees can access it only from their office devices connected to the bank’s internal system.
The portal also includes company news updates and an events calendar.

Online vacation request submission and approval

Employees can submit time-off requests and receive manager approval directly within the system. This feature reduces paperwork and speeds up the approval process. Employees also have access to detailed information about the company’s organizational structure, including current employees, roles, and contact details.
